'Why are you there?' originates from the December 13, 2014, episode of the MBC variety show 'Infinite Challenge' in the 'Giant of Temptation' special. During the episode, the members agreed to abstain from drinking alcohol the night before the shoot. To test this, the production team secretly invited Seo Jang-hoon to lure the members to a drinking session as part of a hidden camera prank. When Jung Hyung-don was offered a drink, he raised his glass without hesitation, and at that moment, Yoo Jae-suk appeared, revealing the hidden camera setup. Jung Hyung-don's shocked expression was accompanied by the caption "Why are you there?" on the screen.

Although the scene did not garner much attention at the time of the broadcast, it became a viral trend on online communities and social media starting in late 2016. The phrase "Why are you there?" began to be used to describe unexpected appearances by people or situations.
