The "Are you T?" meme originates from an episode of the "Fox Club" series on the YouTube channel "Meme-gorithm" titled "How Women Prepare for Hunting." In the video, three women are having a conversation, and one of them keeps making blunt factual remarks. In response, another woman asks, "Unnie, are you T?" which started the meme.

The meme gained popularity due to the widespread interest in MBTI personality types. In the MBTI system, the T (Thinking) type prioritizes facts, truth, and objective judgments, while the F (Feeling) type values emotions, interpersonal relationships, and empathy. As a result, in situations where people expect empathy but receive only objective solutions, "Are you T?" is used humorously to call out the lack of emotional support.

In essence, "Are you T?" is a phrase used when F-type individuals expect emotional support but receive only logical responses from T-type individuals. For example, if someone says, "I was feeling down, so I bought an iPad," a T-type person might respond with, "How much did it cost?" whereas an F-type person would say, "That must have made you feel better!" This is where the phrase "Are you T?" is used.
