It was frequently used in "bait-and-switch" style videos, where the original advertisement unexpectedly appeared to create a comedic effect. For example, on May 27, 2020, Facebook user Tezi uploaded a video that garnered 960 views and 1,900 shares, contributing to the meme's viral spread. As more users began incorporating the meme into their content, its popularity continued to grow across social media platforms.

The core of this meme is a parody ad in which Mas Agus and Mas Pras humorously introduce internet plans with exaggerated hand gestures and facial expressions. By early June 2020, YouTube user Rhinoo Yofran uploaded a compilation of Indihome memes, which amassed over 1.3 million views within four months.
