Origin

The phrase comes from the Korean streamer Kein, and the mechanism is reversed audio. A line he said on stream — "just being in a lump" (geunyang mungtaengiro itda) — sounds like "yuringgesung ai" when played backwards, and the meme is those two directions spliced together. The standard form repeats the forward and reversed pair three times, which is why the title is this long and this meaningless.

So "yuringgesung" is not an invented word but the underside of an existing sentence. It is not that it has no meaning; it is a meaningful phrase flipped until the meaning falls out. That is where its distinctive quality comes from — it sounds like Korean without being parseable as Korean.

What carried the combination was a fan-made video called "Movingman." The "mungtaengi" segment inside it abruptly took off in December 2020, and a flood of edits followed.

Its reach showed up in audience numbers. A substantial share of the viewers who newly arrived at Kein's stream through 2021 are said to have come via this meme and the edits built on it. In a fan-run "Kein meme world cup," it took first place easily. A short sound with no connection to the actual content of the broadcast became the streamer's signature meme.

After it spread, "yuringgesung" detached from the original sentence and began being used on its own. Within the fandom it functions as an interjection expressing feeling, with no fixed meaning at all.
