Ah~ Ah, I didn't want to use it here!

Origin

"Ah~ah, I didn't want to use it here!" is a line from Ikkaku Madarame, the 3rd seat of Squad 11 in Tite Kubo's manga Bleach. The Japanese runs "Aa, konna toko de tsukau ki nanka nakatta noni yo! Bankai!!!", and Korean editions have also rendered it as "I wanted to set this off somewhere more impressive."

The scene comes from the Arrancar arc, during his fight with the Arrancar Edrad Liones in Karakura Town. Ikkaku normally hides the fact that he has a bankai at all; when his opponent finally releases his true power, he grudgingly brings out Ryūmon Hōzukimaru and delivers the line. Producing your trump card while visibly resenting having to spend it fits the character exactly, which is why it stuck. In the anime it is episode 118, "Ikkaku's Bankai," broadcast on March 7th, 2007.

Spread

Two things keep the line alive. One is that it names a very specific feeling — being forced to spend something you were saving. The other is that the gravity of the declaration does not match what follows. In Korean fandom, the fact that Ikkaku's bankai never amounted to much afterward turned the line into a joke about grand announcements with underwhelming payoffs.

So it is used half seriously. You perform the solemnity of playing your ace while everyone involved knows the ace is not worth much.
