This is how the protagonist introduces herself in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the ENA drama that premiered on June 29th, 2022. The full introduction — "My name reads the same forwards and backwards: Woo Young-woo" — is followed by the rhythmic "Woo to the Young to the Woo," a greeting the autistic lawyer Woo Young-woo (played by Park Eun-bin) repeats whenever she meets someone new.

The line sticks for two reasons at once. One is the fact of the name being a palindrome; the other is that she delivers it with the cadence of a hip hop introduction. The gap between the character's earnestness and the levity of the form makes the moment a complete character sketch in a single beat.

Spread

The show's performance set the scale of the spread. Extraordinary Attorney Woo opened quietly at 0.9% ratings for episode 1, then climbed steeply by word of mouth to finish at 17.5% nationwide for its August 18th, 2022 finale — the highest figure in ENA's history, and nearly a nineteenfold rise in six weeks.

Along the way this greeting was the fragment cut out to stand for the show. It is short, it has a beat, and swapping in a different name lets anyone make their own version, so it parodied easily. People did exactly that on social media and in short videos, with palindromic names drawing particular attention.

That said, because the drama's popularity came with ongoing discussion of how it portrayed autism, some pointed out that imitating the line can read as making a joke of the character's traits.
